The group noted that the presence of Mr. Iyede in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Orogun has also altered the interface between people oriented leadership and self-serving leadership.

Responding, the recipient expressed profound gratitude to members of Team Ibori for Okowa 2019 for identifying his silent contributions and deeming him worthy of such a noble award, promising to do his best to thicken the support of the people of Orogun for the re-election of the state Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and PDP success in the 2019 general election.
Mr. Iyede, who noted that the former Governor of the state, Chief James Ibori, is PDP personified, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa a PDP project in progress, stated that Delta State has fared well under Governor Okowa despite the economic challenges.
He called on his Orogun brothers and sisters in the diaspora to come home and join hands in developing Orogun communities, saying, government alone cannot do it.
